Belleview Elementary Library

word collage of words relevant to libraries

With nearly 14,000 books, 7,000 eBooks, numerous databases and a flexible space, Belleview's library epitomizes learning, exploration, collaboration, research and READING!  With a certified teacher librarian and two library assistants, we still rely on fabulous volunteers to handle around a thousand weekly checkouts.  It's quite the active place!

All students will receive informational literacy, research, digital citizenship, and technology instruction every four to five weeks as part of their specials rotation. In addition, every classroom will visit the library weekly giving all students the opportunity to browse and select "just-right" books for their individual reading abilities, interests and learning needs.

We are always listening for "hot reads" from our students. Submit your suggestions now:

WE NEED THIS BOOK!

 ‭(Hidden)‬ Summer Reading

The research is clear that children who don't read during the summer can lose up to three months of reading progress and that loss has a cumulative, long-term effect.  www.readingrockets.org

Please encourage your child to read 20 minutes or more on most days this summer. Let your child choose what they want to read and encourage them along the way. They can explore the world and have an adventure in many ways this summer, including opening up a book!
